At By Hand & Flame, LLC, we are committed to transparency, reliability, and care in all aspects of your shopping experience—including how we pack, process, and ship your order. This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions that govern the delivery of your purchases from our store.

Order Processing Time

All items are made to order and hand-assembled with intention and care. Orders are typically processed and shipped within 5 business days, starting the business day after the order is placed.

  • We do not ship on weekends or national holidays.

  • You will receive an email with tracking information as soon as your package is prepared for shipment.

  • Orders with custom elements or high volume (e.g., bulk orders or mystery kits over $100) may take additional time. These exceptions will be clearly stated in the product listing or communicated via email.

Shipping Carriers & Methods

We currently ship through USPS and may occasionally use UPS or FedEx depending on availability or order size.

  • Standard shipping is used for most orders unless upgraded shipping is selected at checkout.

  • Orders are shipped from North Carolina, United States.

Domestic Shipping (U.S.)

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the weight and destination of your package.
Estimated delivery times (once shipped):

  • USPS First Class Mail: 3–5 business days

  • USPS Priority Mail: 2–3 business days

Please note that delivery times are estimates and may be affected by seasonal delays, weather disruptions, or postal service issues beyond our control.

International Shipping

We currently offer international shipping to select countries.

  • International shipping times vary but may range from 7 to 21 business days depending on location and customs processing.

  • Buyers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, or taxes imposed by their country of residence.

  • We are not liable for delays caused by customs.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are based on total package weight, destination, and selected shipping method.

  • Final costs are shown at checkout before payment.

  • From time to time, we may offer free shipping promotions for qualifying orders or locations.

Packaging & Sustainability

We use eco-conscious and recyclable packaging materials whenever possible.

  • Herbs and crystals are packed in reusable glass vials or compostable packaging.

  • We avoid plastic where feasible, and beeswax candles are wrapped in parchment or paper to protect their energy and reduce waste.

Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Packages

Once your package is in the hands of the carrier, we are not responsible for transit delays or lost shipments. However, we want you to be satisfied and will always try to assist you with a resolution:

  • Lost Packages: If your package appears to be lost in transit, please wait at least 7 business days after the estimated delivery date and contact us at byhandandflame@gmail.com.

  • Damaged Items: Please take photos of damaged items and packaging and contact us within 3 days of delivery. We will work with you to replace or refund your item if necessary.

  • Incorrect Addresses: Please double-check your address before submitting your order. We cannot refund or replace items shipped to incorrect addresses provided at checkout.

Order Cancellations & Changes

We begin processing your order shortly after it's placed. If you need to cancel or change your order, please contact us within 24 hours of purchase. After this window, we cannot guarantee that we can intercept or adjust the order.

Preorders & Backorders

Any items listed as preorder or backorder will include estimated ship dates on the product page. These items may take longer than our standard processing time. If your order includes both ready-to-ship and preorder items, the entire order will ship together unless arrangements are made.

Etsy Orders

If you purchase from our Etsy shop By Hand & Flame on Etsy, please note that Etsy’s policies and tracking tools also apply. We encourage you to review Etsy's Shipping Policy for platform-specific details.
